Question 1

What is included in the Rusaka technology directories?

Accepted Answer

The reviewed comparison dataset contains 70 entries across AI tools, blockchain platforms, cloud providers, open-data sources, integration platforms, testing tools, enterprise software, fintech platforms, spend analytics providers, private equity portfolio monitoring tools, and DevOps and FinOps tools. The wider category also connects 509 mapped directory resources, including a separate 1,000-repository open-source catalogue.

Question 2

How are tools and providers selected?

Accepted Answer

An entry must be materially relevant to its category, have usable official documentation, and maintain a first-party web presence at the recorded review date. Inclusion is editorial, ordering is alphabetical within a filtered view, and placement is not sold or treated as an endorsement.

Question 3

How should I build a vendor shortlist from a directory?

Accepted Answer

Define the workload, users, data, integrations, risk boundaries, budget, and exit requirements first. Build a broad longlist, verify each candidate with current official evidence, apply one weighted scorecard, and run security, legal, commercial, and technical diligence before a controlled trial or contract decision.

Question 4

Are capabilities, pricing, and availability current?

Accepted Answer

The dataset displays its review date and links to each provider's official website and a primary reference. Products, pricing, licences, regions, ownership, support, and regulatory status can change, so confirm every shortlisted option directly before relying on it.

Question 5

Can I compare vendors by price using these directories?

Accepted Answer

Each entry states a high-level commercial model, but that is not a quote or total-cost comparison. Request current pricing and model the full operating cost, including implementation, migration, data transfer, support, security, compliance, training, integration, and exit.

Question 6

Do the directories replace procurement or security review?

Accepted Answer

No. They are discovery and research datasets, not procurement, legal, investment, cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory, or financial advice. Consequential selections require current evidence, accountable internal owners, qualified review, and contract-specific diligence.
